How to Use Crimping Joining Methods?

Astral MultiPex piping system utilises a unique crimping joining method that revolutionises how pipes and pipe fittings connect. It uses a compressed metal ring to create leak-proof pipe joints. This method provides:

Step 1: Cut the pipe to the desired length.

Use a pipe cutter to cut the pipe. Be sure to make a clean, square cut.

Step 2: Calibrate & Chamfer the pipe.

To calibrate the pipe, insert the end of the pipe into the calibration gauge. The gauge will show you how far to insert the pipe.

Step 3: Insert the pipe into the fitting.

Push the pipe all the way into the fitting until it stops.

    Step 4: Press the fitting.

Use a press tool to press the fitting onto the pipe. The tool will automatically press the fitting onto the pipe at the correct pressure.

Benefits of the Crimping Method for PEX Plumbing Fittings

    1. Ease of Use: Crimping requires minimal training and eliminates soldering or complex threading for joining PEX pipes and pipe fittings.
    2. Leak-proof Joints: The secure crimped joint ensures long-lasting and reliable connections you can trust.
    3. Quick and Fat Installation: No heat-up time or drying needed; simply crimp and move on for faster project completion of PEX pipe and pipe fittings.
    4. Zero Waiting Time: Pipes connected using the crimping method allow immediate use of the PEX piping system.
