Chem Pro

CPVC Industrial Piping System

Astral ChemPro is a reliable CPVC piping system that meets the demanding requirements of industrial applications. It has been providing trouble-free service to various industries for years.

The Astral ChemPro industrial piping system is capable of handling temperatures up to 93°C (intermittently up to 110°C), as well as pressures based on pipe sizes. It is suitable for a wide range of industrial needs, including metal treating pumps and risers, food and beverage applications, industrial wastewater management, and chemical processing.

Astral Limited is the sole Indian manufacturer of industrial-grade Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride (CPVC) Pipes. We offer schedule 40 and 80 pipes, as well as schedule 80 fittings, conforming to ASTM standards. These pipes are available in sizes ranging from 1⁄2” (15mm) to 12” (300mm). All Astral ChemPro CPVC industrial pipes are produced from compounds that meet ASTM D1784 standards.

In industries where aggressive chemicals are encountered, metal equipment often corrodes, leading to process leaks, flow restrictions, and premature failure. Even other thermoplastics used in such environments can be affected by these chemicals at elevated temperatures and pressures, resulting in premature failure. To ensure the success and growth of firms in the process industry, it is crucial to have a piping system with long service life, minimal downtime, and compliance with environmental standards.

    FAQs

The compound used in ChemPro CPVC surpasses the standards set for regular CPVC in terms of its Cell Class. While standard (plumbing) CPVC typically adheres to Cell Class 23447, ChemPro CPVC exceeds this with its superior Cell Class of 24448. This higher Cell Class ensures enhanced performance and durability, making ChemPro CPVC the ideal choice for demanding industrial applications.

Applying primer before solvent cement for higher size pipes and fittings serves the following purposes:
    1. Cleansing: Removes contaminants for a clean surface.
    2. Softening: Creates micro-abrasions for improved bonding.
    3. Activation: Prepares the surface to enhance interaction with solvent cement.
    4. Increased Bond Strength: Results in a stronger joint against external forces.

Primer ensures a secure and durable connection between the pipes, fittings, and solvent cement.

The pressure rating of CPVC Vanstone flanges is Class 150.

CPVC 724 grade of solvent cement is used for joining Chempro pipes and fittings.

The drilling pattern of CPVC Chempro flanges is ANSI B16.5.

In injection molding, a "weld line" or "knit line" refers to the point where molten material flows meet and fuse together during the manufacturing process. This fusion can create a weaker area in the finished product, particularly in fittings. To maintain the structural integrity of the product, manufacturers implement strategies to minimize the presence and impact of weld lines. By reducing the occurrence of weld lines, the overall quality and strength of the final product are improved.

The maximum service temperature of CPVC (Chlorinated Polyvinyl Chloride) pipes is typically up to 93°C (200°F). CPVC pipes are known for their high heat resistance compared to standard PVC pipes, which have a lower maximum service temperature.

In Plastic pipes due to whether Chnage ,Temprature diffrence , thermal Expansion & Contraction happen , & due to this pipe will expand & to stop this there is provision of Expasnion loop , It calcualte with the Equation.

Wafer type butterfly valves are sandwiched between two flanges, while standard butterfly valves are mounted directly through flanges.
