Gully Trap

Introduction

Following the custom of spearheading numerous inventive products, the Astral Pipes has come up with one more value-added product “Gully Trap”. A gully trap is a significant part of the plumbing system. It is an extension of the drainage pipe in the form of a basin that allows water to safely pass through the sewage system without letting dangerous gases escape. It retains a body of water, which works as a water seal.

• To be provided in a drainage system with water seal fixed in a suitable position to collect waste water from the scullery, Kitchen sink, Wash basins and Baths and Rain water Pipes.
• Designed to prevent the foul gases smell entering in to the building by providing water seal.
• Used to remove surface water from paved pedestrian areas.

Installation

• The first step involves preparing the spot where you will install the gully trap. Underground drainage requires digging a hole in the ground. The upper part of the gully trap should remain at the ground level.
• Stiffen the ground.
• Connect the Storm / Waste Water pipe to the gully trap.
• Pour concrete over the trap.
