After all, the environment is essential to us and we have accordingly established ,implemented and maintained a comprehensive Health, Safety and Environment Policy (HSE Policy) which adequately covers the nature, scale and environmental impacts of our activities, products and services.

  • The HSE Policy established and communicated to all stakeholders by us:
    • Provides a frame-work for setting environmental objectives with targets to reduce environmental impacts.
    • Includes a commitment to the protection of the environment, prevention of pollution and fulfillment of all compliance obligations.
    • Includes a commitment to continual improvement of the Environmental Management System to enhance environmental performance.
  • Total share of Renewable energy in existing energy portfolio is more than 15%. Completed installation of solar rooftop panel of 2,164 kWp at four manufacturing locations.

  • All our existing operating manufacturing locations are Zero Liquid Discharge facilities.

  • Astral Pipes will phase out lead from all its produced pipes by 2023.

  • Our Santej and Dholka units are using wind energy through open access.

  • Cuttack plant will be operating wholly under a green initiative which will include complete dependency on consumption of biofuels, renewable energy, zero water discharge, water neutral status, waste heat recovery, water recycling etc.

  • Pipeline project using solar-powered water pumps was setup to facilitate rainwater and maintain water holes in wildlife habitat.

  • Solar pumps installation to provide water to wildlife in various unreachable areas.

  • Facilitated with patrolling vehicles for the forest guards and electrification of camps for anti-poaching guards.

  • Contributed to Last Wilderness Foundation for the Village Watchers Program, Panna Tiger Reserve and Earth Brigade Foundation for wildlife conservation.

  • Increased the training hours in a year by 131% as compared to the previous year.

  • There is a total increase of 11.54% in headcount of women employees and a 4.67% increase in the total headcount of permanent employees.

  • Provided water pipeline at Hiwali Village in Nashik District Maharashtra. This village undergoes acute water scarcity every summer. Astral Foundation facilitated Well deepening, pumps, storage and installation of 2.7kms of pipeline to fetch water to the village.

  • Have shown a 17% growth in CSR expenditure.

  • Through our CSR initiatives, more than 1.3 Lakhs beneficiaries were positively impacted.

  • A unique loyalty program for the plumbers and dealers, based on their accumulated points they can redeem those points with attractive rewards.

  • Financial aid during the Covid 19 situation has been provided to support the plumber community. We have also launched Sanitizer Resi Shield to help curb the Covid 19 pandemic.

  • Facilitated Samved, Shalby and Global Hospital with BIPAP, Ventilators and Patient Monitoring Systems so that more patients can be treated and more lives can be saved

  • Distributed PayTM vouchers to needy plumbers during the pandemic.
