FAQs

Yes, CPVC Pipes are safe for carrying drinking water.

Maximum service temperature of CPVC Pipe is up to 93° C.

It is strictly advised to use CPVC Pipes in all internal plumbing for both hot and cold-water line. There has been instances of the non-return valve failure or pressure differential in hot and cold-water line due to which hot water has entered in the cold line. If the cold-water line pipe is not temperature resistant then it will lead to leakage or bursting causing huge loss and inconvenience to the customer.

Standard Dimension Ratio (SDR ). SDR-11 Pipes have more wall thickness and higher pressure ratings than SDR-13.5 for the given size.

CPVC Pipes are-
1- Ideal for hot and cold water plumbing applications.
2- No corrosion resulting in uncompromised water quality, as compared to GI pipes.
3- High mechanical strength, so tough and durable.

Astral CPVC piping system is recommended for hot and cold-water plumbing applications in residential and commercial establishments, hotels and resorts, hospitals, high and low-rise buildings, corporate offices, swimming pools, academic institutes, manufacturing plants, etc. These pipes are not recommended for compressed air and gas applications.
